Ms. Isha Karki is currently working as a research fellow as well as studying Master’s in Crisis Management at Institute of Crisis Management Studies since 2019. She has completed her bachelor's degree in Social Work and English Literature from Tribhuvan University. She believes in helping others to help themselves. She wants to improve her knowledge and understanding of different issues and areas of social crisis.
She is responsible for organizing events, assisting professors with various administrative tasks and involving in several projects at ICMS. She was involved on the workshop entitle as “Training on Leadership Development in Risk, Emergency, and Crisis Communication” collaboratively organized by Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration Nepal Government, Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences Tribhuvan University, United Nations Development Programme, UNDP Nepal, and Institute of Crisis Management Studies, Samarpan Academy held on 10th – 14th June 2020. She also have working experience as a researcher in the project entitle “Comprehensive Community-led Risk Assessment & Mapping and Management in Langtang valley” jointly conducted with The International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development. Currently she is working as the researcher in Erasmus plus funded projects entitle “Centers of excellence in sustainable tourism to boost economic development and enhance university-business cooperation in Southern Asia / CESTour” and Entrepreneurship Knowledge Centers to Foster Innovative Entrepreneurship Practices in Education and Research – ENCORE”. She has also received the training on GIS and Remote Sensing virtually. She is a philomath and likes to collect facts from a variety of disciplines. Her hobbies also include Painting and collecting quotes.
