Nishan Kumar Aryal is working as academic researcher, GIS and IT Expert and Teaching Faculty & here at Institute of Crisis Management Studies (ICMS). His areas of interest are Role of Geographical Information System (GIS) and Mapping for Climate Change Investment Initiatives. He is also an Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) and involved in designing the Technical Architecture within the project here at ICMS. He has been involved in designing the projects, training materials and delivering the trainings, simulations and drills related with Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM). He is part of several projects and programs organized in and out of Nepal.
He is also appointed as President of ICMS YouthMappers Chapter. He is also involved as Researcher and trainer for the Erasmus+ Funded Project ENCORE and CESTour.
He is also associated to various ongoing DRR projects. Previously, he worked at National Reconstruction Authority (NRA), The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency has now selected him to contribute in DRR for further International training program. She has just completed his YouthMappers Leaders Fellowship Summit in Montego bay, Jamaica
