Institute of Crisis Management Studies gives us great opportunities in exploring and enhancing our horizon of knowledge!!Great course indeed

  • Sumit Bikram Rana

Being a former student of the institute, I would highly recommend this institute to any perspective students. My own journey with the institute started when i decided to pursue my career towards humanitarian aid. The institute provides platform for students to learn theories and apply theory into real life. When I was a student, I participated in various programs such as development of DRR training curriculum for students; awareness and sensitization session for school students & communities in DRR; and research pertaining to disaster risk reduction and management. The institute prepares future crisis managers to deal with complex humanitarian issue through its multidisciplinary course and through lessons learnt and example from faculty members and teachers with years of experience working in the field of humanitarian aid. I wish and prospective students and current students of ICMS a happy learning experience, ICMS Third batch Student

During my time at ICMS I learnt a lot of important and transferable skills. I was able to put the crisis and disaster management theory and practises I learnt to good use after the Nepal earthquakes of 2015. Having completed my studies, I am currently working for a human rights organisation along the Thai/Burma border” , ICMS 2nd batch student,

  • Dhiraj Thapa

“This course has been introduced into Nepal and TU for the first time. I found it interesting and believed that it would help me in my personal life to understand myself, enabling me to work more effectively as a counselor to help others. As a military personal, working as a counselor in the field is hugely beneficial to the people of Nepal. The administration has provided good facilities, and the teachers are experienced and dedicated to assisting us to learn. I have found the lessons very practical to implement in my day to day life.” – Dhiraj Thapa, First batch student, Master in Counseling Psychology

  • Kabita Rijal

“Having completed a Master’s in Education and PGD in Counseling Psychology, I worked as a Psychosocial Counselor after the earthquakes in 2015. I provided support for women and children in Psychological Rehability Centers run by Worec Nepal in Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. This experience motivated me to apply for the master’s course at ICMS to deepen my knowledge in Counseling Psychology and to be able to help people better.” – Kabita Rijal, First batch student, Master in Counseling Psychology
