Col. (Retd.) Ratindra Khatri

Ratindra Khatri is a Colonel (Retd.) of the Nepal Army with 28 years of active army service. He holds a double Master's degree from Tribhuvan University and is also a graduate of the US Army Command and General Staff College (USA). He received his professional training from institutions in the UN, UK, USA, India, Finland, Thailand and Nepal. He is actively involved in disaster response and humanitarian assistance operations from policy to the field level, and is executive director of the Strategic Centre for Disaster Risk Reduction, Nepal. He is a survivor of and responder to the 2010 Haiti earthquake.
