Rule and Regulations

  • Students are advised to make themselves aware of the institute’s rules and regulations. Ignorance of the rules is no excuse for any violation.

  • Each student shall show due respect and courtesy to the teachers and administrative staff of the institute. Students shall also show due respect to visiting guests and residents of the institute, and good behaviour to fellow students at all times.

  • Violation of the code of conduct shall constitute; lack of courtesy and decorum; unbecoming conduct within or outside of the institute; willful damage to institute property; removal of any property belonging to the institute, fellow students or other personnel of the institute; use of abusive and offensive language; disturbing fellow students in their studies; adoption of unfair practices in tests, quizzes, assignments or examinations; noisy or unruly behaviour.
  • Students are required to be dressed neatly and decently.

  • Use of cell phones is strictly prohibited in all academic activities while on campus.

  • Late arrival and early departure to or from a class shall be recorded as absence from the class. Students are not allowed to leave the institute during working hours without written permission.

  • The institute accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of student property while on campus. The institute accepts no responsibility for injury to any student while on campus. Both of these stipulations include any educational activity outside of the institute grounds.

  • The students at the institute shall give full diligence to their studies. A student neglecting his/her studies or having unsatisfactory progress will be given two warnings, after which if he/she fails to improve he/she will be liable for expulsion from the institute.

  • Students are prohibited to take part in any political activity or otherwise, which is defaming or detrimental to the dignity of the institute. Any student found violating this rule or bringing the institute into disrepute will be expelled from the institute.

  • Students will compensate any damage to institute property caused by neglect or willful damage. Defacing the walls or any institute property will be viewed as a gross violation of the code of conduct.

  • Students must make all possible efforts to conserve electricity and water. They must switch off lights & fans when they leave the classroom, lab etc. Students must help keep the institute neat and tidy.

  • Students must pay their fee/dues on or before the prescribed deadline; failure to do so will result in appropriate disciplinary action. Students must note that fees, once paid, will be nonrefundable. If a student leaves the course before completion, he/she will be required to pay the course fee in its entirety.

  • Identity cards must be kept to hand at all times and presented as and when requested by any official or member of staff.

  • Candidates must fulfil the minimum attendance requirements as per university norms. No students will be absent from any of the lectures without obtaining prior leave from the designated tutor. Failure to abide by the standard rules will result in the student being struck off from the rolls of the institute. In the case of candidates who joined late owing to late declaration of results or who sought admission provisionally till declaration of the lower examination, the lecture requirements will be calculated as per academic rules and regulations.

  • Students claiming benefits/concessions on medical grounds are required to submit a medical certificate approved by a hospital or dispensary. The student concerned should submit the certificate within a week of rejoining the institute after his/her illness. Note, in such cases there will not be any relaxation in the minimum attendance requirement in order to appear in the TU semester examinations.

  • Any student found smoking or under the influence of intoxicating alcohol or illicit drugs within the institute is liable to strict disciplinary action, which may lead to expulsion.

  • Students who fail to submit the university examination form for the semester in which he/she is studying without the approval of the Director-Principal shall be removed from the institution’s rolls.

  • Students are advised to keep track of notices displayed on the institute notice boards.

  • Any student who fails to clear all dues shall be barred from appearing in end of semester examinations.

  • The Director-Principal reserves the right to modify any of the institute rules as and when necessary. The decision of the Director-Principal in all matters shall be final.
