Dr. Krishna Devkota


Dr. Krishna Devkota is a Faculty Member of Disaster Management Theory and Practice (504).  Dr. Devkota has more than 11 years of comprehensive experiences in disaster risk management field. He has been leading Disaster Risk Reduction course at Armed Police Force Staff and Command Collage based in Kathmandu. He has been advocating on research and providing consulting services on disaster risk management for governmental and non-governmental organizations in Nepal and South Asia. Previously, Dr. Devkota worked at Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) based on Bangkok. He developed and implemented the projects on disaster and climate risk management in the South East and South Asian countries. Before joining with ADPC, he worked for the Korean Government at National Disaster Management Institute based on Seoul. Dr. Devkota has extensive research experiences on landslide risk management in Nepal, Lao PDR and Korea. He has an avid research interest on multi-hazard risk management in the Asia Pacific region. He holds Ph.D. in Engineering Geology from Kyungpook National University, Daegu, South Korea.
