ABOUT ICMS

Institute of Crisis Management Studies

The Institute of Crisis Management Studies (ICMS) is a distinguished centre of academic excellence dedicated to understanding and managing crises arising from both human activity and natural causes. At ICMS, students engage in a truly multidisciplinary learning environment, guided by renowned national and international scholars, practitioners, and experts.

One of our flagship offerings is the Master in Crisis Management Studies (MCM), a unique program that combines theory and practice to develop leaders capable of analysing, responding to, and mitigating complex crises and disasters. The Master in Counselling Psychology (MCP) complements this mission by focusing on emotional, social, vocational, educational, developmental, and organizational needs—particularly in crisis contexts where mental health support is vital.

Alongside these advanced degrees, ICMS also offers the Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA), a comprehensive undergraduate program designed to equip students with essential knowledge and skills in computer science. Through a balance of theory and practical experience, students become innovators, problem-solvers, and critical thinkers prepared to thrive in the fast-evolving field of technology.

Beyond classroom teaching, ICMS emphasizes learning by doing. We organize professional trainings, simulation exercises, and field visits—not only as part of our academic curriculum, but also in collaboration with government agencies, NGOs, and international organizations. These hands-on experiences prepare students for real-world crisis challenges.

Our specialized facilities—purpose-built grounds, advanced computer labs, and online learning platforms—are designed to inspire growth and innovation. True to our mission, we remain committed to pioneering research, fostering policy dialogues, and hosting symposiums on pressing issues of crisis management. In all these efforts, ICMS stands as a partner in service to both the nation and the international community.
