Leena Sah is an experienced environmental science and forestry academician with more than two decades of experience in teaching, research, curriculum development, and academic coordination in Nepal and internationally. She holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Science and Technology from UNESCO-IHE, the Netherlands, and an M.Sc. in Zoology with specialization in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Banaras Hindu University, India.
She currently serves as an Associate Professor at Kathmandu Forestry College, Visiting Faculty at Rajarshi Janak University, and Faculty at the Institute of Crisis Management Studies (ICMS), Samarpan Academy. At ICMS, she contributes to postgraduate teaching in environmental science, climate change, sustainable development, and crisis management. Her academic experience includes teaching and thesis supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, curriculum development, laboratory supervision, project proposal development, and academic coordination.
Her areas of expertise include environmental science, ecology, conservation biology, natural resource management, climate change adaptation, wastewater treatment, and Disaster Risk Reduction. Her interdisciplinary work focuses on connecting environmental sustainability, climate resilience, and disaster risk management through teaching, research, and institutional collaboration.
