Students are expected to familiarize themselves with the rules, regulations, and policies of Samarpan Academy and to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects respect for the institution, its community, and the wider society.
Students are expected to:
Treat faculty members, administrative staff, visiting guests, fellow students, and other members of the institute community with courtesy and respect.
Maintain appropriate behaviour and decorum both within the institute and during institute-related activities outside the campus.
Refrain from abusive, offensive, threatening, discriminatory, or inappropriate language or behaviour.
Avoid any behaviour that disrupts teaching, learning, or the academic environment.
Students are expected to maintain honesty and integrity in all academic activities. Unfair practices, including cheating, plagiarism, unauthorized collaboration, or any other form of academic misconduct in examinations, tests, quizzes, assignments, or other academic work are strictly prohibited.
Students are expected to make consistent and genuine efforts in their studies. Students whose academic performance or engagement is consistently unsatisfactory may be provided with appropriate guidance and warnings. Continued failure to meet academic requirements may result in disciplinary action in accordance with institutional and university regulations.
Students must fulfil the minimum attendance requirements prescribed by Tribhuvan University and the respective program.
Students are expected to attend classes regularly and arrive on time.
Late arrival or early departure may be recorded as absence or partial attendance in accordance with institutional rules.
Students who need to be absent should obtain prior approval from the designated faculty member or authority, except in genuine emergencies.
Students admitted late due to delayed examination results or provisional admission will have attendance requirements calculated according to applicable academic regulations.
Medical leave may be considered upon submission of a valid medical certificate from a recognized hospital or health institution. Such leave does not automatically exempt students from the minimum attendance requirements prescribed for eligibility to appear in university examinations.
Students are expected to maintain a neat, clean, and appropriate appearance suitable for an academic environment.
Mobile phones and other electronic devices must be kept on silent mode and must not be used during lectures, examinations, presentations, or other academic activities unless their use is specifically authorized by the faculty member for academic purposes.
Students must use institute facilities and property responsibly.
Any intentional or negligent damage to institute property may result in disciplinary action and the student may be required to bear the cost of repair or replacement.
Defacing walls, furniture, equipment, or other institute property is prohibited.
Students should help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment.
Students are encouraged to conserve electricity and water and should switch off lights, fans, air conditioning, and other equipment when leaving classrooms, laboratories, or other facilities.
Students must carry their institute identity card while on campus and present it when requested by an authorized official or staff member.
Smoking, consumption of alcohol, possession or use of illicit drugs, or being under the influence of intoxicating substances on institute premises or during institute-related activities is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or expulsion.
Students must not engage in activities that threaten the safety, dignity, reputation, or peaceful functioning of the institute or its community.
Students have the right to express their views responsibly and lawfully. However, no student may use the name, premises, resources, or identity of Samarpan Academy for activities that are unlawful, disruptive, defamatory, discriminatory, or detrimental to the dignity and reputation of the institute.
Students must pay tuition fees and other applicable dues within the prescribed deadlines.
Failure to clear outstanding dues may result in appropriate administrative action, including restriction from examinations or other academic services, in accordance with institutional and university regulations.
Fees once paid are generally non-refundable, subject to the institute's applicable refund policy. Students who discontinue their studies may remain liable for outstanding financial obligations according to the terms applicable to their program and admission.
Students must complete and submit university examination forms within the prescribed deadlines. Failure to submit the required examination form without prior approval from the authorized institute official may affect the student's eligibility to appear in the examination.
Students who have outstanding dues or have not fulfilled the required academic and administrative requirements may be restricted from appearing in examinations, subject to applicable university regulations.
Students are responsible for taking reasonable care of their personal belongings while on campus and during institute-related activities. The institute cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal property except where liability is established under applicable law.
Students are expected to follow all safety instructions and procedures during academic activities, field visits, training, simulations, and other activities conducted by the institute.
Students are responsible for regularly checking official institute notices, announcements, and other communication channels for information regarding classes, examinations, academic activities, deadlines, and institutional requirements.
Violation of the Student Code of Conduct may result in appropriate disciplinary action depending on the nature and seriousness of the offence. Such action may include a warning, counselling, written undertaking, financial liability for damages, suspension, or expulsion, in accordance with institutional and university regulations.
Students will be given an appropriate opportunity to respond to allegations of serious misconduct before major disciplinary action is taken.
Samarpan Academy reserves the right to review and amend its rules, regulations, and policies when necessary, in accordance with applicable laws, institutional requirements, and Tribhuvan University regulations.
In matters not specifically covered by these regulations, the institute will follow applicable Tribhuvan University rules and other relevant laws and policies.
